How VCI2000 works

Inhibition process

The VCI2000 protective vapor spreads inside the package until it is fully filled. The inhibition process (corrosion inhibition) begins when vapors come into contact with metal surfaces, creating a thin, invisible anti-corrosion coating.

The invisible protective barrier

The result of this process is the absorption of the protective ions on the metal surfaces and the simultaneous formation of a molecular order, which causes an interruption of the contact between the metal and the electrolyte. The presence of this monomolecular, invisible layer prevents corrosion while preserving the physical and mechanical properties of the metal.
